Games can be fun and all, but there’s a dark side to them.
Not everything is safe on the internet.
There can be some hackers who try to hack you or even people who seek to find your location. Now, before you think “oh! I shouldn’t be on the internet anymore! It’s way too dangerous.”, you can still have fun on there too.
If you are safe enough. So, if your privacy is safe by passcodes and your security is fine, there's still a way to get through them. I’ll be telling you some rules that might help you get prepared for a situation like this.
First, if your playing an online game, don’t give anyone any personal information like tell your age, your name, or anything like that. They can use that information to find your address or something worse.
Second, if you're playing a game on any electronic and someone comes up to you and asks you to download an app or search for a website, it’s best not to do that. Because it can ask for you to give them your email and password so the website can work. They can scam you or find a way to get more information.
Third, never give someone your phone number or your parent's phone number. Even if they’re a really good friend of yours and you think that you can trust them. If you give it to them, then they can act like they are really happy to meet you and if you ask them over, they can kidnap you.
After what I’ve told you, I hope that you will be safer on the internet.
